Vibes In The City : There's No Place Like Home (Day 1)

Vibes in the City is returning to Al-Munir’s urban farm and creative space, Jannah on Grafton, June 23rd & 24th, for a Multicultural, Multi Genre Urban Garden Festival. This event will be in conjunction with NJPAC’s North to Shore Grant program. The inaugural Vibes In The City : There’s No Place Like Home Festival was born in 2020, and curated by Vibes In The City founder Ishmeel Blakewood aka Broadway Blake at Jannah on Grafton. In an effort to provide artists a safe place to showcase their skills in an outdoor environment, Broadway Blake, along with his Vibes In The City team curated a multitude of artists from the tri-state, and more than 20 artisan businesses, for a celebration of agriculture, community, and art in a formerly vacant lot turned urban farm.

This year, Vibes In The City : There's No Place Like Home will feature some of Brick City’s most renowned underground artists, and will also include a night time dance party highlighting Jersey’s historic House Music Sound on Grafton Ave Saturday June 24th. The Friday Kickoff show will feature the Vibes In The City produced Comedy Show "Laughin With My Friends" that will feature a multitude of comedians and musical guests. This is more than a Festival to Us. It's a culmination of Community, Family, Culture, Education and much more. VITC : There's No Place Like Home is a one of its kind event here in Newark that highlights emerging Talent from Brick City and the surrounding areas.
