What do "The Master" by Ana Hatherly, "Warning to the crocodiles" by António Lobo Antunes, and "At your feet" by Ana Cristina Cesar, have in common? These works were originally written in Portuguese by contemporary authors, but their translations into English were meticulous and laborious. In the VI Annual Conference of Cátedra Ana Hatherly, our guests will reflect upon the process of translating literature, and how translation can powerfully shape the way we think about language and literature.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we strongly recommend everyone in attendance to wear a mask at all times. Please arrive on-time to ensure you will have a seat. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
