Enjoy being safe afloat with the proper communication device - a VHF Radio. You must have a licence to operate a VHF. Get your MMSI number. To get VHF Radio Short Range Cert: One evening to study online notes and presentation in advance (approx. 4hrs home study) and one full day (in comfortable surroundings of Royal Cork Yacht club in Crosshaven) to get hands on experience with radios and to sit exam. Very experienced team of senior instructors will give you an enjoyable course. This course is in high demand with limited places and will book out soon. It is first come, first served, so don't miss out! Courses run monthly. Course leader is Eddie English - National Powerboat Trainer, Dinghy Trainer and Yachtmaster Examiner.
