VHEAP UnConference Sponsorship Opportunities

You are invited to join us at the 5th annual VHEAP UnConference in beautiful Charlottesville, VA, to showcase your products and services to accessibility specialists from around the Commonwealth of Virginia. Attendees include disability and access specialists in higher education, K-12, and Vocational Rehabilitation Services, most of whom have primary responsibility for procuring your goods.

This year, we are partnering with AHEAD in Virginia to bring a two day event to disability and accessibility providers across the state. Please let us know if you’d like to participate in both conference days. The AHEAD portion will take place on May 29th with the VHEAP sponsored portion will be the next day.

The VHEAP UnConference is a unique peer-led, participant-driven event in which attendees propose and facilitate sessions covering all aspects of accessibility. Expect 75+ participants joining from across the Commonwealth of Virginia who are passionate about collaborating, learning, exploring, and sharing accessibility best practices to support inclusive teaching and learning.

The UnConference brings together participants who seek solutions in support of programmatic, physical, and digital accessibility. The event is highly engaging and centers around free-flowing discussions to build community, solve problems, and explore creative solutions to barriers in accessibility.

Participants of the 2025 unconference will automatically become members of VHEAP with many additional opportunities to continue their interactions, discussions, and collaborations.

VHEAP is a member-driven organization of accessibility-focused professionals promoting collaboration across Virginia since 2018. Our broad mission is to advance inclusion and participation of individuals with disabilities in education and employment opportunities in the Commonwealth.

Your sponsorship will directly support important accessibility services and event production costs for our 2025 unconference, including:

• Catering - Providing meals and refreshments for attendees requires significant funding. Sponsorships help cover these catering costs to offer breakfast, multiple snack and coffee breaks, and lunch.

• Event Parking & Room Rental - As an in-person event at a premier location at the University of Virginia, we incur parking fees and facility rental charges. Your sponsorship contributes to managing our budget for the fundamental venue expenses.

• Captioning & ASL Services - The Unconference is intentionally designed to be welcoming and accessible for all members. Sponsor funding allows us to contract these accessibility services.
