1. Contestants must register in advance at the Canteen by February 15th. The bartender on duty has the sign up list.
2. Entries must be dropped off in standard crock pots in the VFW Kitchen between 2:00 - 2:45 on day of the event directly to event staff.
3. Crock pots may not have the name of the chef displayed.
4. Any ingredients are allowed, but heat level should be indicated at drop off. Heat range is 1-5, 1 being mild, 5 being extreme heat.
5. Chili must be warm and ready to serve. No additional prep will be allowed once entry is accepted by event staff.
6. Standard condiments (crackers, sour cream, cheese), serving, and eating utensils will be provided by the VFW Auxiliary.
7. Judging will begin at 3:00 and will be People’s Choice by visitors who purchase a tasting ticket for $8.
8. All crock pots must be retrieved by contestants by the VFW Close of business (9:00 pm) on event day.
Remember to invite your friends! Tasting Ticket proceeds will generate the first, second, and third place cash prizes. The more visitors, the bigger the cash prizes!
