What is it like to serve your country?Join us to hear from veterans about their experiences. Veterans of any era who served in any capacity are invited to stand before their community and speak for up to ten minutes. This event is non-political, and all perspectives are valued. There will be no question-and-answer period or debate on American foreign policy. Attendees will simply listen and learn about what it was like to serve in the wars that this nation has chosen to fight.
Vets Town Halls were originated by author Sebastian Junger (War, Tribe) with the aim of increasing communication and understanding between veterans and civilians in their communities. For more information, visit vetstownhall.org.
The Vets Town Hall is free to attend, and snacks will be provided. RSVP as an audience member our event webpage.
If you are a veteran who would like to speak at the event, fill out a brief web form, also linked our event page. You can learn more about the guidelines for speakers here, at the Vets Town Hall website. Time permitting, veterans are also welcome to sign up to speak during the event itself.
