Stretch breathe and cultivate your connections with body-heart-mind-spirit.
This class is inspired by the classical approach of Sri Dharma Mittra. Similar to Dharma Yoga this gentle yet "forceful" series focuses on both physical development (hatha yoga) and mental mastery (raja yoga) through asana pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation to bring a sense of well-being to the body and radiant peace to the mind.
Students will be guided through Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) as a warm-up followed by Shiva Namaskar (held poses). The class concludes with an alternate-nostril breathing exercise and a short meditation. The Level 1 sequence is suitable for all levels.
Adam is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and completed his yoga teacher training in 2024 with VEToga. He enjoys helping students learn and discover more about themselves while cultivating a sense of ease and peace of mind both on and off the mat.
VEToga’s mission is to provide yoga meditation and healing arts to military veterans their families and communities. Teacher Trainings equip veterans with the holistic tools and teachings to continue to pass on the healing power of yoga. VETOGA; seeking to build a supportive community of both veterans and non-veterans and to provide an opportunity to experience a wide variety of the Healing Arts.
This is a free/donation event to all service members veterans law enforcement emergency responders and their families.
