Ophthalmic Emergencies presented by Corbin R. Telford, DVM, DACVO®
This live interactive medical program will review how to identify and treat various ophthalmic emergencies including sudden blindness, corneal injury, and other ocular traumas.
Cataracts: Etiologies, Medical vs. Surgical Management, and When to Refer presented by Sarah Brattain, DVM, MPH.
This live interactive medical program will review what a cataract is and how to differentiate it from nuclear sclerosis, common causes of cataracts in veterinary patients, what complications may arise as cataracts progress, outline medical vs. surgical management, plus explain when referral should be considered. In addition, this course will review how to best prepare pets and their families for potential surgery including what happens after referral – pre-surgical testing including electroretinography (ERG) and ocular ultrasound.
