Veterans Shelter Community Day – Saturday, November 1stJoin us for a day of service, safety, and community support as we come together at the Lee Gardens Hotel (830 Lee Rd, Orlando, FL 32810) , a former extended-stay hotel now being converted into a veterans homeless shelter operated by the nonprofit State of Hope.

Here’s what’s happening:
Morning Bike Safety Kickoff: Commissioner Kelly Martinez Semrad and the Florida Department of Transportation will install a new bike rack and give away helmets, bike lights, and bike locks.
Community Safety Class: Learn important tips to keep yourself and our neighborhood safe for bikers and pedestrians.
Volunteer Room Adoption: Lee Road Safe Neighborhood is co-hosting this event and organizing volunteers to help clean and prepare rooms for veterans with disabilities.
This is a chance to support those who have served, strengthen our community, and share in meaningful work together.
