About this Event
Join us for a meaningful America 250 commemoration at historic Memento Mori Cemetery in Farmington, presented in collaboration between Stanley-Whitman House and the Connecticut Sons of the American Revolution, Wadsworth Branch #7 (CTSSAR).
Together, we will honor Farmington’s Revolutionary War patriots through a Roll Call of Names, the dedication of five new historic markers, and the presentation of both Town of Farmington and State of Connecticut proclamations recognizing this inaugural observance.
The ceremony will feature reflections by community and SAR leaders, a musket-volley salute by members of the Connecticut Line, and a performance of “Taps.” Following the program, guests are invited for light refreshments at the Stanley-Whitman House, 37 High Street, Farmington.
This event, recognized as an official SAR America 250 Project, invites all generations to remember those who secured our independence and to renew our shared commitment to history, freedom, and civic service.
