The Veterans of Sand Lake and the Sand Lake Historical Society are delighted to announce their partnership in hosting a Sand Lake Veterans Day Open House on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, 2025.The Open House will commence with the 2025 Sand Lake Veterans Day ceremony at the Sand Lake Veterans Memorial Park, beginning at 11 AM. Food, displays, and presentations will follow at the Sand Lake Veterans Hall at 2957 NY-43, Averill Park, NY.
A highlight of the event will be the exhibition of local military artifacts, culminating with the Sand Lake Historical Society’s monthly presentation on “The Life and Sacrifices of Local Heroes Lieutenant Perry Williams (VFW Post namesake) and Sergeant Walter A. Adams (American Legion Post namesake)” at 2:30 PM.
