The City of Mentor will host a Veterans Day ceremony at 11:11 AM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, to honor the men and women who have served our country in the military.Originally known as Armistice Day, the observance was first held November 11, 1919, marking the first anniversary of the end of World War I and honoring the heroism of those who died in the country’s service. In 1954, Armistice Day was changed to Veterans Day – a national holiday celebrating all veterans.
