About this Event
The City of Homestead proudly announces its second annual Veterans Day Celebration! This family-friendly event will honor the service and sacrifices of our nation’s veterans with an exciting evening of performances, activities, and tributes.
The celebration promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees. The South Florida Youth Symphony will deliver a moving musical tribute to our veterans, showcasing the talent and dedication of young musicians. The evening will feature additional performances by the Air Force Reserve Band and other local groups, adding to the patriotic atmosphere.
Guests will also have the chance to explore a variety of activities and savor delicious food from pop-up eateries. Veterans and active military personnel can enjoy special food discounts as a token of appreciation for their service. The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will be present, serving beer and wine as part of a fundraiser to support their charitable initiatives.
As a grand finale, Homestead’s first-ever drone show will light up the night sky, creating a breathtaking display to conclude the evening’s festivities.
The event is free and open to the public, ensuring that everyone can join in the celebration. This event is made possible thanks to the support of the Kiwanis Club of Homestead-South Dade, along with our generous sponsors, BrightView Landscaping, Homestead Hospital, Commissioner Kionne McGhee, Miami Dade county Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and key contributions from the City of Homestead.
