Mecklenburg County is proud to announce Veterans Benefits Live: VA in My Town: Mecklenburg County! VA Representatives and community partners will be available to provide several services to our local veterans. Services include on-site claims assistance for veterans’ benefits, eligibility and enrollment information about VA Healthcare, legal assistance, counseling services, employment resources, community services, mental health and substance abuse screenings, and peer-to-peer connection. Veterans Benefits Live will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 18th and Friday, August 19th and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 20th at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (3400 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216). Veterans should be sure to bring the documents that pertain to their individual cases (DD 214, medical and service records pertaining to disabilities, dependency documents, etc.). In addition, to protect against COVID-19, masks and temperature screenings will be required of all visitors. We’re excited to help and hope to see you there!
