This Veterans’ Day weekend, join us as we honor those who have served our country by serving our community! Together, we’ll help establish a community garden and urban farm that will nourish local families, provide youth leadership and training opportunities, and promote healthy living across Hampton Roads.
Roll up your sleeves and be part of the action! Volunteers will help:
Build a shade structure to create a welcoming gathering space
Cut back brush and small trees to clear and prepare the land
Lay W**d fabric to protect new planting areas
Construct and fill raised garden beds with rich soil
And, if time permits, plant a few fall crops to kick off the first growing season!
No experience is needed — just bring your enthusiasm, energy, and love for community! This is a family-friendly event where service, teamwork, and gratitude for our Veterans come together to grow something lasting.
