About this Event
Please note: Ticket price INCLUSIVE of eventbrite fees.
We'd love to welcome you back to our new(ish) poetry night for stunning national and local poetry with open mic - all hosted by regular VERVE Poetry host Sam J Grudgings. Our events will usually be on the second Tuesday of the month with subsequent night's scheduled for October, November & December.
Our night will have three features - one local and two national and of varying levels of experience. We're thrilled to write that our June headliner is 'punk of colour' and Language Is A Queer Thing poet Jay Mitra.
Also on the line-up is Brummie poet, dramatist and VERVE Poetry Press poet, Lorna Rose and local poet, producer and VERVE Collective member Bradley Taylor.
Each half of the night will have room for 7 open-micers (so 14 open mic slots in all!) followed by our featured poets. Open mic sign up between 6.30 & 6.50 on the night - names will be drawn from a hat at 6.55pm.
These are proving to be storming nights of lively and lovely poetry where new voices blend with those of quality features! Join us!
NB This is event is for 16+ Open Mic sign up 6.30-6.50pm
