About this Event
On Tuesday, February 17th at 6:00 PM, join us for the third event of the Open Polifactory series “Future Food Habits.”
In this upcoming session, titled VERTICAL FARMING: Fostering the next urban food production, we will explore how soil-less farming and digital technologies are redefining food production paradigms within urban contexts.
It will be an opportunity to engage with those leading this innovation in Italy, such as Thomas Marino, co-founder of TheCircle. This center of excellence has perfected the aquaponics model, creating a zero-impact symbiotic system between agriculture and fish farming. Joining him will be Lorenzo Silvestri and Andrea Somenzi, research fellows at the Circular Food System Lab, who will present the aeroponic and hydroponic experimental module currently active at Polifactory.
The debate will be enriched and supported by Stefano Maffei, Director of the Circular Food System Lab, and Andrea Bezzecchi, founder of Acetaia San Giacomo and professor at the Master in Design for Food.
The meeting will conclude with an open discussion session with the audience.
