La galerie Wishbone est heureuse de présenter « L’autre Rive », première exposition solo de l’artiste André Clouâtre à la galerie.L’autre Rive réunit une série de toiles du peintre André Clouâtre, dont la pratique se déploie au tournant des années 2000.
Issu d’une enfance à la ferme, Clouâtre peint la mémoire du labeur de la terre, nourricière et exigeante.
Ce geste, proche de l’art brut, garde la trace d’une lutte engagée avec la matière.
De ses songes, l’artiste tire des contes qu’il dépose sur toile.

Wishbone Gallery is pleased to present “The Other Shore,” the first solo exhibition by artist André Clouâtre at the gallery.
The Other Shore brings together a series of paintings by André Clouâtre, whose artistic practice has been evolving since the early 2000s.
Rooted in a childhood spent on a farm, Clouâtre paints the memory of labor — of the earth, both nurturing and demanding.
His gesture, akin to Art Brut, bears the trace of a physical and emotional struggle with the material itself.
From his dreams, the artist draws stories which he lays gently onto canvas.
