About this Event
The Charlottesville area is known for its incredibly rich wine history, especially centering around Thomas Jefferson's Monticello vineyards. While some of our domestic wine origins are in this region, we can say that the past decade or so has been when we have seen the major boom of the region's wine excellence. In fact, the Charlottesville/Monticello wine region was named the Wine Region of the Year 2023 by Wine Enthusiast! Let's dig in, and take a closer look at the region and the finest wines being made there today.
Join us for a casual seated wine class where we will discuss the history and terroir of the Charlottesville wine region while trying a wide range of fine wines from the area with our Wine Director, Erin Dudley, at Vermilion!
Included with your ticket:
- Seated wine class with certified sommelier and Neighborhood Restaurant Group Wine Director, Erin Dudley CSW
- Tasting of six fine wines from Charlottesville & Monticello AVA
- Small serving of artisanal cheese and accoutrement to accompany your tasting
