*Pre booking essential* Vermicomposting! Working with worms that quickly turn organic waste into fine compost allows the eco-gardener to intensify seasonal cultivation while replenishing and increasing soil fertility on an ongoing basis. With Teresa Pereira of the Northern School of Permaculture.
The session runs from 10am to 1pm.
During this workshop we will build a worm tower to embed in a raised bed. Worm towers help with the self-fertilisation of a garden bed and gradually decrease the need for compost addition. They function as in situ composting accelerated by specific worms that quickly turn organic waste into nutrient rich compost.
