Presenter: Angie Nicholson, Lee County Master Gardener Volunteers with opening introduction by Shery van der Heiden, MS, Extension Agent Residental Horticulture UF/IFAS Extension Lee County.
FREE Seminar...with optional purchase of $20.00 per person (+plus Eventbrite service fees) if attendees wish to leave with a worm bin and starter materials consisting of shredded paper, twigs, and grasses (etc.) for worm bin bedding. A limited mount of worms will be available for purchase separately at the completion of the workshop.
The seminar will run 45 minutes. Afterwards, the worm bin workshop is 45 minutes which includes Q&A. All times are approximate.
Compost is very high in nutrients that build up nutrition in soil, improves plant growth and health, increases root depth, and conserves water. Learn how to make a secure home for composting worms that can also process a wide variety of organic materials into a valuable soil amendment.
