About this Event
Vermicomposting, or worm composting, turns kitchen scraps and other organic waste into a rich, dark soil that is a major source of nutrients for plants. Join Filbert Street Garden and the Enoch Pratt Free Library to learn everything you need to know about starting and maintaining your own worm bin and see an established bin in action. When done correctly, this form of composting does not smell and is very apartment friendly, making it a great way to sustainably level-up your gardening while space is limited.
This program is part of a series collaboration between Filbert Street Garden and Enoch Pratt Free Library, and will take place at the Garden at:
1321 Filbert St.
Baltimore, MD 21226
A second session will also be held at the Central Branch of the Enoch Pratt Free Library on Saturday, August 10.
