Agenda
PMAB® is a risk management program used to manage aggressive behavior only when such behavior could not be anticipated. It is not part of behavior management and does not include mechanical restraint.
This training module covers all procedures for preventing and managing aggressive behavior as well as verbal intervention.
Learning Objectives
1. What the Learner Can Do Following Training:
The learning objectives are stated from the learner’s perspective, i.e., what each learner will be able to do following training.
2. Testing:
Learners are to receive a test on those objectives. These objectives are about performing the procedures. The test is accomplished with a performance assessment for each procedure included in the training materials.
3. Parts of Objectives:
Each objective contains three parts—conditions, actions, standards.
Conditions
The conditions describe what the learner is given to initiate performing the action.
Action
The action describes what the learner is expected to do after the training has been completed.
Standards
The standards describe what a single correct performance looks like.
