Venus 8: Flesh & Foam
Since 2022 I have moved through clubs, locker rooms and backstage spaces with workers across Western Australia. My drive to document comes from the erasure and misrepresentation of s. workers in both historical and current representation, and a determination to platform these voices within contemporary art and visual culture.
My practice is rooted in solidarity, collaboration, and the recognition of workers’ rights while resisting the censorship and stigma that attempt to silence the community. Working closely with my co collaborators, we explore identity, labour, and resilience.
