The Venture into Data Bootcamp is a short, sharp, professional upskilling programme, designed specifically for graduates, early career professionals and career returners, who are (re)entering the world of work but are facing skills-related barriers to securing employment. During this programme you will be immersed in a collaborative, agile working environment where you will develop skills in interpreting, analysing and communicating data, equipping you with the necessary skills required to function effectively within a digitally-enabled organisation.

Upon successful completion of the Venture into Data Bootcamp, you will achieve a regulated Agored Cymru qualification in Data Analysis and be guaranteed an interview with a local tech employer. You will also receive one-to-one coaching to improve their employability skills and prepare them for interview.

The programme takes place 1 day per week over 9 weeks. During the programme, you will work in a collaborative, agile working environment to develop data and digital literacy skills to help you secure your first role in the fast growing Welsh tech scene.

The Venture into Data Bootcamp is aligned to the Agored Cymru Level 4 Diploma in Data Analytics.

You will complete one module of the qualification, amounting to 11 credits. The qualification module is embedded into the programme structure with daily tutorials built in to support the completion of assessments.

You will also have the opportunity to complete the Microsoft Certified Power BI Analyst Certification.

There are no formal entry requirements for this programme. You do not need any previous education or experience to apply.

A member of the team will discuss your eligibility for funding during your application. Book an appointment to speak to the team at a time that is convenient for you.

You will be able to progress directly into a Graduate Job. You can also complete an Accelerated Apprenticeship in Digital Content Management or a Higher Apprenticeship in Data Analytics in your first employment.

The Venture into Data Bootcamp is funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), provided by UK Government as part of the Levelling Up initiative. To be eligible for SPF you must:

• be aged 18 and above; and
• have the Right to Work in the UK; and
• currently live in Wales*

As this funding is being provided to support the economic growth of the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR), priority will be given to residents of the 10 local authorities that make up CCR: Cardiff, Caerphilly, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan, Torfaen, Rhonda Cynon Taf, Merthyr, Blaenau Gwent, Newport, Monmouthshire.

You will need to provide evidence of your identity, address, and Right to Work. Your eligibility will be assessed in accordance with UK Government Guidelines.

The Venture into Data Bootcamp is being delivered by iungo Solutions in collaboration with Cardiff and Vale College on behalf of the Cardiff Capital Region, and is funded by the UK Government via the Levelling Up initiative.

Once we receive your initial expression of interest through Eventbrite, a member of the team will call you within 2 working days to assess your eligibility and support you to complete a full application to secure your space on the programme.

You will need to provide evidence of your eligibility so that it can be verified by UK Government. The application process can take 3-5 days so long as you provide the correct evidence on time.
