Vigil and Protest for Renee Nicole GoodWednesday, January 7th, an ICE agent murdered Renee Nicole Good by shooting her in the head at point blank range. ICE prevented a bystander physician from attending to her. Renee was a US citizen, a mother, a wife and a friend to the community. Then the Trump administration fabricated a story to justify the murder of a woman who just dropped off her kid at school.
A broad coalition of groups across the country is calling for a coordinated Ice Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th to demand accountability, honor the life lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.
The ICE OUT for GOOD coalition goals are to: - Honor and humanize the lives taken by ICE - Demand accountability, transparency, and immediate investigation into the killing of Renee Nicole Good - Expose the broader pattern of ICE violence–including the 30+ lives lost in ICE detention in 2025 - Call for ICE to leave our communities - Build public pressure on elected officials and federal agencies - Create space for grief, solidarity, and collective action - Strengthen local connections and neighborhood response systems
A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.

We encourage events to center solidarity with individuals and communities already impacted by ICE violence. Including the names of individuals killed by ICE in chants, speeches, and signs highlights and humanizes the toll ICE violence takes on our communities. While there currently exists no comprehensive database of lives taken by ICE, there are several stories we recommend amplifying:
