Velvet People is a live figure drawing event, featuring Muses chosen by Gala Delicious from the Burlesque community. Each Muse will select a theme, and the whole event will reflect this choice! Velvet People aims to bring new communities together and celebrate creativity. We invite folks to bring their own art supplies and sketch the chosen Muse who will present poses for various lengths of time.Our First Model is Shelley La Belle as The Dominatrix
This event is FREE for burlesque performers!
Artists(GA) tickets are available on a sliding scale from $10-20 and come with a free raffle ticket.
Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the event as well
Artists of all skill levels are welcome!

What is Figure Drawing:
A figure drawing is a drawing of the human form in any of its various shapes and postures, using any of the drawing media. The term can also refer to the act of producing such a drawing. The degree of representation may range from highly detailed, anatomically correct renderings to loose and expressive sketches. A life drawing is a drawing of the human figure, traditionally nude, from observation of a live model. Creating life drawings, or life studies, in a life class, has been a large element in the traditional training of artists in the Western world since the Renaissance.
