About this Event
The notion of Caribbean cuisine is that it is complicated. Well, let us help you throw that notion out the window.
Join Community Kitchen chef, Bearnie, to explore the delights of the Caribbean region. Bearnie grew up in Guyana before coming to the UK, so brings with her an excitement of food from around the world, but especially wanted to share her love for Caribbean flavours.
This will be part of a series of Caribbean Cook Up evenings where you will prepare a selection of dishes from across the Caribbean. The series will feature vegetarian, non-vegetarian and vegan recipes of which, some dishes you may know and others you will not.
The first class (02/11) in our Carribean series will be fish and seafood cuisine.
On the menu:
- Pumpkin, prawns and smoked fish
- Pigeon peas and coconut cook-up rice
- Spicy fried yellow plantain
- And maybe a couple more surprises!
We will eat together after our delicious cook up! Bring your own tupperware just in case there are leftovers- and your own apron!
Can’t wait to see you :)
