Enjoy a culinary tour of Africa without leaving Knoxville in this fun hands on class thats perfect for cooks that are looking for alternatives to animal products and ingredients. Have you always wanted to learn to cook African food but were intimidated by the unfamiliar spices and other ingredients typically found in this country’s cuisine? In this vegan cooking class our Chef will take the mystery out of this cooking style as we create a deliciously fragrant Moroccan tagine, akara, jollof rice served with gomen wat, and finishing with malva pudding. Complimentary wine served during the cooking experience.
The Menu:
Gambian Stew – Sweet potatoes, beans, peanuts, and spices
Moroccan Vegetable Tagine – Potatoes, Chickpeas, Tomatoes, and Spices
