Our Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Phoenix are organizing another Vegetable Gardening Project! For this project, we will be back at the Sunnyslope Youth Center!!
Sunnyslope Youth Center is located at 1702 W Peoria Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85029
Sunnyslope Youth Center reopened earlier this year after undergoing some renovations!
We will be going back to re-soil and replant fruits and vegetables in their garden!
We will also be cleaning up Winifred Green Park at the same time!
We are looking for more donations of the following:
-Soil
-Fruits and Vegetable Plants
WE ARE IN NEED OF MORE VOLUNTEERS TOO!
If you would like to donate any of the items, or volunteer your time, it'll help us greatly as we transform and consistently maintain their vegetable garden!
Cleaning up loose trash is one of the best ways to pitch in for your community and the environment.
Volunteer-led projects such as these are one of the quickest, simplest, and least expensive ways to inspire more community spirit and civic action. A visually appealing community increases property values, attracts businesses, and improves the neighborhood's image. Beauty is one of the three most influential factors in community attachment, which means loyalty, to your particular town or city. Some research even shows that a nice-looking neighborhood promotes good behavior.
