About this Event
The McHenry County Vegan Group, led by Carol Ann Ripple and Joan Grossman is teaming up with the amazing people at the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple for a vegan buffet! We love integrating our community with those who are interested in trying unique and authentic food, as well as meeting new people! The cost is $35/person, and will include the following delicious dishes:
Turmeric Basmati Rice
Coconut Sambol
Kale Mallum
Dhal Curry
Tempered Potatoes
Mixed Vegetable Curry
The dinner menu is both 100% vegan and gluten-free, and is made on site at the temple. They offer a great assortment of vegan options, so this is the perfect way to get to try several items off of their menu!
The dessert item is a traditional Sri Lankan coconut stuffed crepe-like pancake. This is 100% vegan but NOT gluten free.
This event will take place on Saturday, April 12 at the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple located at 221 Dean Street in Woodstock, IL from 4PM-6PM. Parking is both in front and behind the temple. There is also a big parking lot in front of the temple, next to the city hall.
100% of the proceeds of this event go to Blue Lotus Temple and the monsatics who have lovingly prepared this meal!
