Hello everyone! May 3 in Ottawa will be a special day - we will mark the anniversary of the end of WW2 with a piping and drumming event that'll be both unique and memorable. The Canadian War Museum will welcome all players to a reception in the foyer where thanks and history will be shared, and then we head out to Wellington Street, where pipers will line the sidewalk and play their own tune. After the 80 pipers are done playing, they will assemble with the 20 drummers at the War Memorial to play some traditional music. Commemorative t shirts, transportation and reception at both the War Museum and Deacon Brodie's Pub on Elgin Street provided by the band.
Registration is open for both pipers and drummers, on the band website at www.sospb.com on our VE Day page. You select where you want to play, and bring along your friends and family to enjoy this very special performance opportunity.
