Due to high demand, we are running this training session again this year.
This training session will provide an introduction to volunteer management and involving volunteers within your organisation and is intended for those in York's voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) sector who are perhaps new to a volunteer management/coordination/supervision role or those who want to go over the basics.
Training Content:
This session should provide a good understanding of the basics of volunteer management as a starting point before we go deeper into various subjects throughout the year.
We will cover:
- What volunteering is and the legal distinctions.
- How volunteers are incorporated into different organisations.
- Creating appropriate roles for Volunteers
- Supporting Volunteers from recruitment to saying goodbye
Eligibility:
The training is free and open to VCSE sector organisations based and operating in York.
