Join us for a FREE VCSE day of digital learning from Digital Voice (funded by Community Foundation Tyne & Wear and Northumberland).
Lunch and refreshments provided
A maximum of two people per organisation
What will you be doing?
There will be three sessions available for you to choose from (timings on the day will allow you to attend two of these):
1. Simple Digital Content Creation for Social Media - Laura Crow, digital inclusion trainer and illustrator, will show you the basics of using Canva to create flyers and social media posts. Canva has fast become the go-to graphic tool used on the main social media platforms. It is slick, easy to use and free for charities and not for profit organisations.
2. Creative Community Consultation; how to hear what your community wants - Ronnie Johnston, digital inclusion trainer, will help you to amplify the voices of the communities you work with. In this session he will share how we consult creatively using simple digital media and offer advice on how to apply this to your own communities.
3. Introduction to Web and Social Media Management - Join Digital Voice experts for a hands-on session on simple social media strategies, scheduling posts, and easy web page creation/management. Learn tips on sharing content effectively, optimising for algorithms, and enhancing overall accessibility.

Julie Nicholson, Managing Director for Digital Voice tells us why it’s important to share their skills and practice:
“We know from research that the North East is still trailing behind other areas of the UK in terms of digital skills; we can do something about that. The day is also a great opportunity to network with other organisations in the sector.”
