There's a new nationwide hotline, 988, that connects to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline that provides confidential and free services from skilled counselors at a crisis center in your area.
Help for Veterans: For calls, pressing “1” after dialing 988 will connect you directly to the Veterans Crisis Lifeline
Services in Spanish: For calls, pressing “2” after dialing 988 will connect you directly to a Spanish-speaking crisis counselor. To text with a Spanish-speaking crisis counselor, text AYUDA to 988.
LGBTQ Support: For calls, pressing “3” after dialing 988 will connect you directly a specialized LGBTQI+ affirming counselor, or text “PRIDE” to 988.
American Sign Language: People who use American Sign Language can now use their videophones to contact 988 directly.
