ABOUT THE SHOW:
An intimate gathering of paintings where hands become guests at the table, storytellers, and companions in conversation. Each piece brings the warmth of a shared meal, transforming expressive gestures into bold and joyful forms that celebrate the many ways we connect, communicate, and care for one another. Like a cozy dinner party with friends, the work invites viewers to slow down, savor small moments, and enjoy the playful rhythm of color, movement, and touch.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Vashaun Brandon is a self-taught designer, illustrator, and artist based in Richmond, Virginia with a passion for visual storytelling. His work transforms expressive hand gestures into bold and playful compositions, using vibrant color and simplified forms to explore how people communicate through movement and touch. With a background in graphic design, he brings a rhythmic and graphic sensibility to each canvas, repeating and abstracting hand-like shapes into a personal visual language. The gestures become characters that convey warmth, motion, and connection, capturing the joy and creativity found in everyday moments.
