The Varley Parker Quintet officially formed in 2017 to play the Guildford Jazz Festival. It draws heavily on the Blue Note catalogue of the late 50s and 60s for its inspiration and material but also features music from modern masters such as Tom Harrell, Roy Hargrove and Bobby Watson.Expect bluesy, soulful, funky jazz with a latin seasoning! With Graham Varley Trumpet, Ed Kinsella Piano, Marianne Windham Bass, Dave Evetts Drums, and guest Jonny Ford on tenor sax
