Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike

Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play, master of comedy Christopher Durang takes characters and themes from Chekhov, tosses them into a high speed blender and serves up this utterly hilarious and touching hit show. Two middle-aged siblings, Vanya and Sonia, have lived their entire lives in their family’s farmhouse where they bicker and complain about their circumstances. While they stayed home, their sister Masha traveled the world as a successful movie star, leaving Vanya and Sonia feeling trapped and regretful. When the theatrical Masha suddenly swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike, old resentments flare up threatening cataclysmic results.
