Vancouver Ballet Folklórico
Vancouver Ballet Folklórico is known for its colorful presentations of Mexican folk dances and pre-Hispanic dances. The Vancouver Ballet Folklórico goes beyond the preservation of Mexico's traditional folkloric dances—it safeguards the indigenous culture that existed prior to the Spanish Conquest. Today, you will experience traditional Mexican dances influenced by the Spanish Conquest that reflect the lace, silk ribbons, and extensive fabric, as well as the musical influence. VBF has graced various cultural events in Clark County and Portland, including the Cinco de Mayo celebration at the Waterfront and the Clark County Fair. VBF leads the vibrant and memorable annual Dia de Muertos event at Esther Short Park.
