Mike Maurer Band, Mojomama, and Vanimal Kingdom bring the funk, blues, and more to the Herman's Hideaway stage on Friday the 13th! Mojomama combines Old School Rhythm and Blues and Funk influences from Aretha Franklin to Susan Tedeschi to Steely Dan leaving you with a new yet familiar sound.
They were a semi Finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis for 2018 and 2019 representing the Colorado Blues Society.
Vanimal Kingdom is an energetic fusion of funk, progressive rock, and jazz with compositions that will keep you intrigued and wanting more while also being very improv driven. They draw elements of funk from groups such as The Meters and progressive rock from groups such as Umphrey's McGee, while executing a popular feel drawing from artists like Prince. The band is currently based out of Denver, CO.
