Join us for an evening of enjoyment, dinner, and Lucia celebration
Celebrate Santa Lucia in the afternoon with the Vancouver Swedish Cultural Society at 6 PM on December 14th for dinner! This is the 59th year of the Lucia event in Vancouver. Join us for coffee, baked goods, and a candlelit procession with traditional Lucia songs.
- Doors open at 5:30 PM
- Mingle with friends, Glögg flows, and the bar opens at 5:30 PM
- The program starts at 6:30 PM
- A short foot-stomping history of Swedish pop music to kick us off
- A Swedish Christmas sing-along
- Swedish soloist performances
- The Lucia procession
- Dinner, a traditional Swedish Julbord
- Dancing around the Christmas tree

Do I need to bring a printed ticket?
Electronic tickets are preferred.
How do I reserve a table?
Please purchase eight seats and email the team at [email protected]. A limited number of tables are available for reservation.
Is my ticket transferrable?
Yes, tickets are transferrable.
The name on the ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

What is the refund policy?
Refunds are only issued before December 7th. As the event is expected to be another sellout, no refunds will be provided after this date.
Are you interested in having even more fun at the event?
Volunteers entirely put on the Lucia event. You can help by making a dish for the Julbord, setting up tables, or even performing. There are numerous volunteer roles. Many hands make light work. Email Ulrika at [email protected] to see what we need for this year.
