Maryland native and roots rocker, Jennifer Van Meter, has been at it for over twenty years now as a songwriter and performer. With a catalog of songs pushing the sixty mark, the genre lines continue to blur as she refuses to constrict the songs from becoming what they will. Her band consists of two veteran Raleigh players, Bruce Clark and Larry Woodard and songwriter/drummer turned bassist, Braxton Lindsay. Their collaboration brings a sound reminiscent of Tom Petty, Dire Straits and the Pretenders. She’s performed from her adopted hometown of Clayton, NC’s Harvest Festival to the Key West Songwriter’s Festival to Raleigh’s historic Rialto Theater to college fraternity parties as well as many bars, breweries and clubs throughout the years. Her list of artists that she’s performed with includes The Lone Bellow, Kasey Chambers, LoCash, Devon Allman, Lissie and Robyn Hitchcock. Jen’s song “Roadside Flower” was featured as American Songwriter’s ‘Daily Discovery’. The latest effort, an EP, “Now What?”, features the revered Doug Pettibone was released in the summer of 2025 right after the band officially joined the roster of All Y’all Records (Carrboro, NC). In early 2026, they will head to the Fidelitorium, Mitch Easter’s recording studio, to record a full length album, which producer Ian Schrier will oversee.
