**Program Update - This program is being rescheduled for January 11th 2025 due to the significant flooding at Withlacoochee River Park, which has rendered the park unable to safely operate. We hope by pushing this program to January we allow the staff enough time to make any necessary repairs. If you were previously registered, your registration has been updated to our new date and no further action is required on your part. Join us for the Vamos a Pescar - Family Fishing Fun Day! This FREE fun-filled event is designed to introduce families to the vast outdoors, the sport of fishing and the importance of being stewards of Florida’s freshwater ecosystems.
Hands on educational activities will include fishing in the Withlacoochee River (water level permitting) and fishing basics learning stations. Additionally, there will be a free rod/reel for the first 100 children ages 3 - 15 years old.

Please only register participants ages 3-15 years old. Parents/guardians do not need to register, but are required to stay with their child(ren).
Only those who register and complete all of the learning stations will receive a rod/reel.
Educational stations will take place from 9:00am-12:00pm with the last time to start your stations at 11:30pm.
