Update on the clean-up:Everything is still moving forward with the date of October 18th. Mark your calendars.
Special THANK YOU to fellow group member Brent Hopper who's help, suggestions, and guidance from doing a similar event approx. 2 1/2 yrs ago is proving invaluable.
We all know that the site sits in a remote location and if transportation is needed to/from either Fort Lauderdale or Miami airport area, please feel free to call or text my phone anytime @ 601.347.0110. I am hoping to get started somewhere between 8:00-9:00am and wrapping it up by midafternoon (ish).
We will have plenty of water on hand along with a supply of gloves.
I was able to get a greatly reduced rate on equipment from the Home Depot store that's closest to the site.
Miami Dade Fire Rescue was extended an invitation, and it seems as if they will also attend, but as of now they have not officially notified me.
More updates to follow as we get closer to the clean-up!
