Explore the bold and captivating red wines of Valle d’Aosta at an exclusive tasting event brought to you by Pale Ruby Wine. After visiting this unique Alpine wine region and tasting over 150 wines from 33 local winemakers, Pale Ruby Wine founder Leni is excited to showcase 8 of the most remarkable and intriguing red wines she personally selected on her journey.
Valle d’Aosta is one of Italy’s hidden treasures, known for its steep, high-altitude vineyards and artisanal winemaking traditions. The region’s diverse microclimates and unique native grape varieties produce wines with distinct character and elegance. At this special tasting, you’ll have the rare opportunity to experience a range of grape varieties seldom found outside of Italy, including different expressions of Petit Rouge, the region’s signature red grape, as well as native variety Fumin, local interpretations of Nebbiolo, and even Vuillermin—an extremely rare, nearly extinct variety that offers a fascinating glimpse into Valle d’Aosta’s winemaking heritage. Each wine is sourced from some of the region’s best producers, and none are available in the UK, making this an unmissable event for wine lovers.
The wines will be accompanied by a small selection of cheeses to complement the tasting experience.
