Valhalla Renaissance Faire Returns to South Lake Tahoe at Tahoe Valley Campground for the 28th Celebration of Magic, Mayhem, and Merriment, August 24-25, 2024: A Weekend of Fun-Filled Festivities, Enchanting Performances, and Unforgettable Memories
South Lake Tahoe, CA – Prepare to be transported back in time to the 28th Anniversary Celebration of Magic, Mayhem, and Merriment at the Valhalla Renaissance Faire, held at Tahoe Valley Campground, August 24-25, 2024. Queen Elizabeth Tudor, ambassadors from foreign lands, juggling jesters, winsome wenches, lords and ladies, knights on horseback, squires, and simpletons: they aren't just the stuff of fairy tales.
This year's Renaissance Faire promises an enchanting experience where history comes alive, and fantasy meets reality. Immerse yourself in a world filled with spectacular jousting tournaments, captivating performances, and a bustling marketplace featuring nearly 100 unique merchants and crafters. Whether you're donning a costume or coming as you are, join us for a weekend of unforgettable entertainment, delicious culinary delights, and hands-on activities for all ages. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary celebration of tradition and wonder at South Lake Tahoe!
The Imperial Knights will dazzle audiences with their skillful horsemanship, impressive weaponry, and dramatic battles. Spectators of all ages will be captivated by full-armored combat between knights, culinary delicacies, craft demonstrations, ancient music, dance, and comedy. Magic and contortionist shows, swashbucklers, pirates, and fairies (seen only by children) will add to the enchantment.
Participate in archery and fencing, and let the kids enjoy dancing, games, crafts, puppet shows, and storytelling. They can even meet Queen Elizabeth herself! This event is a fusion of history and fantasy, celebrating cosplay culture from all genres, time periods, and countries. We invite all our guests to dress up in their finest time-traveling attire. No matter which century you portray, we’re looking forward to celebrating a leap back (or forward) in time with you!
The Valhalla Renaissance Faire recreates a Renaissance village on festival weekends and includes a merchant marketplace with nearly 100 unique merchants and crafters.

- Three stages filled with heart-pounding action shows, music, and comedy
- Over 900 costumed actors, offering interactive and immersive 360° theater
- 100 shops featuring amazing wares and one-of-a-kind artistic creations
Dates & Times: August 24-25, 2024
- Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sundays: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets purchased on Eventbrite are good for ONE-day admission. Please note: Tickets are not refundable once purchased. No pets are allowed at this event.
Parking: We have allocated 450 parking spaces at the venue. Parking will be $5 per car, and VIP parking will be $10.
