Special Valentine’s Beach Time! Grab that special someone, clean up that Jeep and let’s ride out for this special day of sand, sun, and fun at Fort Fisher. This event will meet at the Exxon in Fuquay Varina (1532 N. Main St. Fuquay Varina, NC 27526 United States) at 0730 on Saturday 15Feb with a departure time of 0745 for Fort Fisher’s 4wd Beach Access for a day of beach fun. There will be a special Valentine Treat created by Nadia - so please RSVP so we have plenty of treats!Important Items to consider for this adventure:
1. Access passes are required and you can get more information on the NC State Parks page located here: https://www.ncparks.gov/about-us/state-parks-reservation-rates-and-activity-fees#Four-Wheel-DriveBeachAccessatFortFisherStateRecreationArea-1332
I. Passes are $30/weekend day or $150/year.
ii. They are purchased in person (cash OR card) and we will stop at the Park Office for those needing to purchase (it is ONE per VEHICLE)
iii. We will air down prior to heading onto the beach for safety and ride comfort
iv. Bring your beach essentials, food, drink of choice (please be aware that this is a State Park and alcohol is prohibited), shade, chairs, trash can, etc - leave the beach the way found it or better
v. You do NOT have to meet up at Exxon - only if you would like to convoy with us. If you would like to meet us there - here is the address to the Park Office:

vi. Although damage or injury is not expected, you are operating your vehicle at your own risk. We will have recovery gear in the off chance someone gets stuck.
For those who intend to go, we will create a group chat the week of (at the latest) to go over logistics and who will be riding with us and who will meet. We will depart at 0745 SHARP to ensure we have ample time on the beach.
There is no end time (other than when the gates close) - so you may choose to leave at anytime! Just remember, there are no airing stations at the Park Office (exit of the beach access) - bring your own air or safely navigate into town to air back up before hitting the highway home.
This event is open to both Members of FVDDJ and Non-Members - there is no charge associated with this event!
