Valentines for Veterans is a free community appreciation event hosted by Ella’s Angels, a youth-led nonprofit founded by Ella Shahbazian, a published teen author and community leader. The event honors local veterans with Valentine’s gift bags, light refreshments, and a welcoming space to connect and feel appreciated. All veterans are welcome to attend and enjoy a warm, respectful community gathering in Glendale.

Veterans arrive and are welcomed by volunteers

Open, relaxed check-in (no formal registration required)
4:30 – 6:15 PM – Community Gathering
• Veterans receive Valentine’s gift bags
• Casual conversation and community connection
• Refreshments, snacks, and beverages available throughout
• Media and student journalists may observe or conduct brief interviews
• Photo opportunities and community interaction
5:15 – 5:25 PM – Brief Welcome (Optional, Informal)
• Short welcome from Ella Shahbazian, founder of Ella’s Angels
• Expression of gratitude to veterans and community supporters
(No long speeches; veterans may remain seated or continue enjoying refreshments)
6:15 – 6:30 PM – Final Gift Distribution & Closing
• Last gift bags distributed
• Thank-yous and informal goodbyes
• Event concludes at 6:30 PM

Ella Shahbazian is the founder of Ella’s Angels, a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to community service and civic engagement. A published teen author and nationally recognized youth leader, Ella has led initiatives supporting veterans, students in under-resourced communities, children’s hospitals, and local families. Through Ella’s Angels, she brings together volunteers, partners, and community members to create welcoming, meaningful events that honor service and strengthen community connection.
