The Rotary Club of Playa del Carmen Seaside invites you and your 4-legged friends to join us for a special Valentine's Day "Yappy Hour" Dog Parade and Costume Contest, hosted by The Admiral Sports Bar. This is a family-friendly fundraising event. Dogs and handlers of all ages are welcome!
The "Yappy Hour" Costume Contest Categories are:
Best Senior Dog (age 7+)
Best Young Dog (under 1 year)
Prettiest Dog
Most Handsome Dog
Best Pair
Best Large Breed
Best Medium-Sized Dog
Best Small Breed
Best Rescue Dog
Top Yapper
Dogs and their owners need to arrive at 2PM. The Parade and Contest begin at 3PM.
Registration will be managed by Seaside Rotary volunteers on the day of the event. The cost to register is 200 pesos per dog per category. (Dogs only please)
Participants are welcome to enter their dog(s) into as many categories as they please.
The winner of each category will be selected by a panel of expert local judges.
The winners of each category will take home prizes donated by local businesses.
Top Yapper - Participants and bystanders will vote to see which dog is crowned “Top Yapper”.
Each vote costs 50 pesos. You can buy as many votes as you please for the dog of your choice!
The Top Yapper will take home a special ribbon and bragging rights. His/her handler will win the Grand Prize (yet to de disclosed)
Funds raised from registrations and voting ticket sales will go to support Seaside Rotary's community projects and PAR Playa Animal Rescue.
