Once again, Margarita's is hosting Valentine's Day with a very funny night of comedy in the main room! Margarita's is a Mexican restaurant in Downtown Belleville with the best margaritas in town. The show will be on Saturday, February 14th at 8pm for $20. For the past three years, our comedy show has been one of the best way to spend your Valentine's day, laughing with your date, significant other, or friends.
This year will be no exception with this year's lineup:
Rob Durham is a touring stand-up comedian and a high school English teacher, so his students learned right away not to heckle. With a smile that says I didn’t get my braces off until I was 27, Rob shares the frustrations and joys of teaching. For over two decades, Rob has built an original act favoring the cleaner side of comedy but should still be kept away from the ears of his students (though they are impressed that he’s opened for 2 of the 3 uncles on Full House).
Lauren Peterson has been involved in the St. Louis comedy scene for 7 years, can be both on the Helium and Funnybone stages regularly. She has worked with headliners like Ian Lara, Reena Calm, Andy Woodhull, Chip Chantry, and Darryl Charles. When shes not on stage, she’s a veterinary nurse at a busy small animal practice. Lauren likes to talk about her life as well as bring a lighthearted perspective to different topics.
Jacy Tate is a young comic who got her start in Columbia, MO but has relocated to St. Louis and has been hitting the stages all across St. Louis and Metro-East.
And your host, Jeff Phipps, Jeff has an interesting view of the world from the numerous jobs he has held throughout his life. He finds humor in his background as a Native American man who has been called the angriest Asian in St. Louis. When he is not on stage, he is trying to solve problems that already have solutions.
